1 Par 4 - 365 yds |
After avoiding a left side bunker, you
need to be short of the water on the dogleg
right-to-left hole. A mid-iron shot will
gain access to a well-guarded green.
|
Hole 2 Par 4 - 341 yds |
A good drive is needed to avoid well-placed
fairway bunkers; yet its vital to be on the right side
of the fairway to negotiate the green, which slopes from
back to front.
|
Hole 3 Par 3 - 168 yds |
Crossing the "high road", this first of four
par threes calls for shot making skills that
avoids two daunting front bunkers and yet not
straying beyond the elevated green.
|
Hole 4 Par 5 - 530 yds |
Well executed golf shots are needed to reach this
dogleg par - 5 of some 530 yards, culminating in
holding an elevated green whose entrance is
protected by front bunkers.
|
Hole 5 Par 4 - 473 yds |
One of the longer par four's, avoiding a fairway
bunker on the left, another strong golf shot is
needed to access the uphill elongated green with
dense trees lurking in the background.
|
Hole 6 Par 3 - 160 yds |
The shortest of the par three's, yet a gem in its
own right - having to clear a belt of trees to hit
a green completely surrounded by punishing bunkers
leaving no room for error.
|
Hole 7 Par 4 - 447 yds |
A slight right-to-left dogleg par 4, a second shot
of over 200 yards is needed to score on an inviting
green.
|
Hole 8 Par 5 - 508 yds |
The intimidating feature of a long stretch of
water test your nerve. Choosing the "opt-out"
version of playing this hole can lead to trouble
if you wander too far left; an out-of-bounds to
the right and behind the green will punish severely
the too-strong third shot.
|
Hole 9 Par 4 - 317 yds |
The premium here is on a solid drive. Then a good
straight iron is needed to conquer this
par - 4 on the summit of which is a three-tiered
green guarded by trees and severe bunkers.
|
Hole 10 Par 4 - 342 yds |
From an elevated teeing area this tricky downhill
left to right dogleg will demand delicacy in the
extreme to tame an elevated green with no margin
for error at the back.
|
Hole 11 Par 5 - 533 yds |
Another of the long Par 5's with strategically
placed fairway bunkers; a shot of extreme
accuracy invites you to hold an elevated green.
|
Hole 12 Par 3 - 179 yds |
You are reduced to one shot to hit this
green commanding you to carry all the way
over the punishing water with difficulty
on the left and the guarding bunkers on the
right.
|
Hole 13 Par 4 - 382 yds |
You will be punished on the left on this
testing par - 4 to avoid a right-side bunker
and the "ring fort". Overshoot this green
at your peril.
|
Hole 14 Par 4 - 416 yds |
You may be temped to cut the corner of this
extreme left-to-right dogleg - if you try it
the "ring fort" may get you, if not, fairway
bunkers lie in wait. A long belt of trees to
the left requires an accurate iron to score
at this hole.
|
Hole 15 Par 5 - 535 yds |
Its a daunting enough task to complete the "ring fort"
corner but to face the sheer expanse of this par-5
hole is indeed a challenge. Strategically placed
water gives the faint-hearted an option of playing
well to the right of the well trapped green.
|
Hole 16 Par 3 - 172 yds |
Dense woodland behind, water to the right and
imposing bunkers in front demands perfect execution
of this up-slope par-three.
|
Hole 17 Par 4 - 402 yds |
Position from drive is imperative with out-of-bounds
on the left and wooded area on the right. Added to
that, there is a destructive presence of the water
to the left of the green and not much room behind.
|
Hole 18 Par 4 - 415 yds |
This sharp right-to-left dogleg par-4 holes requires
a testing tee-shot to meet the challenge of the
championship finishing hole. the brave who go to cut
the corner have to contend with lurking fairways bunkers;
you need to execute a good iron to avoid the punishing
traps to the sloping green.
